Pan is off to Write his Exams

Pan first arrived at the project back in July, and later returned to stay on for several weeks. The photo below was taken during Pan's arrival in the village. During his time with us, Pan has proven himself to be a valuable member of the team, often helping to translate between volunteers and mahouts, explaining their instructions during forest walks, pointing out edible plants, and relaying volunteers' many questions to the mahouts. Pan is a Thai national with a keen interest in elephant conservation who is also well educated and fluent in English.

Pan has left the project, temporarily, to write his law exams at his Uni in Bangkok. Pan's been studying his texts in the evenings and in the downtime between walks in the forest with the elephants. We'll all be wishing him the best of luck and eagerly awaiting his return to the project.

You will be missed Pan. Good luck!
