Happy Thai Mothers' Day

In celebration of the Queen’s birthday the some of the villagers take a break from daily life to celebrate mother’s day.In honour of the Queen’s love of the forest the youth group has gathered together villagers along with volunteers at the temple to plant trees. Following the very smiley monk, Prah Supa Kon, we all clambered up a steep slope through the forest above the temple clutching small saplings in our hands. Once we found a good location we all got to work with the villagers planting the small trees with the Queen’s portrait looking on. It was a great activity that the volunteers all enjoyed working with the villagers and being more integrated into Thai culture.
