To all the volunteers who sent in such wonderful and thoughtful gifts this year for the mahouts, homestays, and gvi staff. It was much appreciated by all.

Our first Christmas in Huay Pakoot this year was great fun and much merriment was had by all. We received a number of packages from past volunteers. We’d like to say a big thank you for all the amazing gifts you sent. The mahouts and villagers loved their presents which included scarves, hats and clothes. We enjoyed celebrating our festivities with them. After a competitive game of Pictionary we celebrated Christmas at our Friday pot luck dinner. Although we didn’t see Father Christmas, he definitely left presents under our Christmas tree, fashioned from the branch of a pine tree.
